<\/p>\n\u201cIn order to see the wolf in nature you have to be like the wolf yourself, be one with the<\/p>\n
nature, quiet, soundless, calm, and not to disturb the balance of the world around you with<\/p>\n
anything, not even the smallest unnecessary movement\u2026\u201d. I remember the words of my<\/p>\n
late grandfather when I had as a boy listened to his fairytale-like stories, tucked in an old<\/p>\n
wooden house far away in a small mountain village in Serbia. With mellow sounds of fire<\/p>\n
crackling coming from the hearth, the smell of homemade bread baking, drinking tee made<\/p>\n
of wild mountain herbs with my grandfather, I listened to the howling of wolves coming<\/p>\n
from the depths of the one hundred year old oak forest on the top of the mountain.<\/p>\n
I made a firm promise to myself that night that one day, when I grow up, I will search for<\/p>\n
and see those mysterious forest creatures.<\/p>\n
Many years have passed since that night. The paths of life have taken me through great<\/p>\n
adventures and challenges. In the meantime I\u2019ve become a member of the elite special force<\/p>\n
unit and began practicing an extraordinary endurance sport \u2013 ultramarathon. As a<\/p>\n
member of the special forces, during different field trainings and tasks, I faced Herculean<\/p>\n
physical and psychological difficulties, constantly and repeatedly questioning the limits of<\/p>\n
my abilities, my motivation and strength of spirit, and on the other hand, participating in<\/p>\n
some of the world\u2019s hardest ultramarathons, I have passed through the most extreme areas<\/p>\n
on the planet, through dark rainforests and endless plateaus. I\u2019ve been scorched by the sun<\/p>\n
and whipped by the wind, my faith has been tested by rain and storm, I\u2019ve suffered from<\/p>\n
hypothermia and heat shocks, but like the legendary bird phoenix I\u2019ve always managed to<\/p>\n
rise from the ashes and go on, more courageously and with new vigor, heading into even<\/p>\n
bigger and tougher challenges.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Just when I began to think that there is nothing in the world that could awaken new spark<\/p>\n
and fire in me, giving me an even greater enthusiasm and desire to, with proper motive,<\/p>\n
test the limits of my endurance and strength of spirit, at beginning of the year, I received a<\/p>\n
call to participate in, as it is called, the cruelest race in the world. It is the race \u201cLA<\/p>\n
ULTRA-THE HIGH\u201c, an ultramarathon which will be held at the beginning of August in<\/p>\n
the Indian part of the sacred mountains of Himalaya. At the \u201cRoof of the World\u201d one is<\/p>\n
required to run for 333 kilometers without stopping, with time limit to finish the race being<\/p>\n
72 hours. Only a few get the chance to participate, and those that have finished the race<\/p>\n
successfully can be counted on the fingers on one hand. Decreased oxygen concentration,<\/p>\n
altitude, extreme temperatures, time limit and the length of the ultramarathon make \u201cLA<\/p>\n
ULTRA-THE HIGH\u201d an almost impossible mission. I emphasize the almost, because I<\/p>\n
believe that the limits are where we set them and that with dedication, persistence, courage,<\/p>\n
honest, honorable and true motive, hard and honest training and preparation nothing is<\/p>\n
impossible, not even finishing the legendary \u201cLA ULTRA-THE HIGH\u201c.<\/p>\n
In my adventures, competitions and performance of tasks in my special force unit, I have<\/p>\n
passed through some of the most brutal places and landscapes where the temperature<\/p>\n
could move from -30 to +50 \u00b0C. I have come to realize how important quality equipment<\/p>\n
and clothes are in order to successfully overcome the set demands and challenges.<\/p>\n

While testing the equipment I have proved all the claims made by the creators of the UVU<\/p>\n
brand. Equipment is characterized by extreme comfort, pleasant sensation even during the<\/p>\n
most intensive activities, pieces of equipment which fit perfectly to the contour of one\u2019s<\/p>\n
body and feel like the second skin. You feel free while running and moving. Fascinating!<\/p>\n
The UVU equipment is light, yet it offers maximum of protection both from highest and<\/p>\n
lowest of temperatures.<\/p>\n
You must be wondering about the connection between the story about the wolf,<\/p>\n
ultramarathon and UVU brand? The answer is once again hidden in my small mountain<\/p>\n
village far away in Serbia\u2026<\/p>\n
With the start of \u201cLA ULTRA-THE HIGH\u201d nearing, I\u2019ve decided to locate part of my<\/p>\n
preparations right in my village, on my mountain. I know every track there, where all the<\/p>\n
springs with water are, where the mushrooms used to prepare the tastiest of dishes grow,<\/p>\n
where fragrant wild grass I use to prepare tee which reminds me of my childhood and<\/p>\n
grandfather\u2019s stories grow, there I find my peace and hidden reservoirs of strength.<\/p>\n
At one dawn I began my run in the direction of the one hundred year old forest at the top<\/p>\n
of the mountain. Dressed in my UVU equipment I felt fresh and pleasant, my run was in<\/p>\n
harmony like the perfect Beethoven symphony, as if I was floating above the ground. I<\/p>\n
entered deep into the forest with a smile.<\/p>\n
Then suddenly everything became quiet, even the birds stopped chirping, I felt that<\/p>\n
something unusual was about to happen. Exactly! Some twenty meters away from me, HE<\/p>\n
appeared \u2013 the wolf, a mystical forest creature I\u2019d listened about. The color of its fur was<\/p>\n
gray and identical to the color of my UVU equipment. With graceful bearing, this master of<\/p>\n
the forest seized me up fearlessly, I was on his turf. I stood motionless. Nothing happened.<\/p>\n
The wolf continued on as if he had told that we\u2019d meet again. Perhaps after the successful<\/p>\n
